Main Components Of LNG Gasification And Metering Skid

LNG gasification and metering skid mainly consists of the following important parts:
1. LNG storage tank
This is a key component for storing liquefied natural gas. A double-layer vacuum insulation structure is usually used to ensure good thermal insulation performance and reduce evaporation losses of LNG. The tank is equipped with instruments such as liquid level gauges and pressure sensors to monitor the liquid level and pressure in the tank in real time. At the same time, safety devices such as safety valves are also provided. When the pressure exceeds the set value, the safety valve automatically opens to release the pressure and ensure the safety of the tank.


2. Vaporizer
The function of the vaporizer is to convert liquid LNG into gaseous natural gas. Common types of vaporizers include air-heated vaporizers and water-bath vaporizers. The air-heated vaporizer uses the heat of the ambient air for vaporization. The structure is relatively simple, but it is greatly affected by the ambient temperature. The water-bath vaporizer achieves vaporization through heat exchange between hot water and LNG, and the vaporization effect is relatively stable. The vaporizer is usually composed of heat exchange tubes, shells, etc., and its design should ensure efficient heat exchange performance and reliable operation.


3. Pressure regulating device
The pressure regulating device is used to adjust the pressure of natural gas after gasification to meet the needs of different users. It is generally composed of a pressure regulator, a filter, etc. The filter can filter out impurities in the natural gas and protect downstream equipment. The pressure regulator can automatically adjust according to the set pressure to ensure that the output natural gas pressure is stable within the specified range.


4. Metering device
The metering device is mainly composed of flow meters, temperature sensors, and pressure sensors. The flow meter is used to accurately measure the flow of natural gas after gasification. Common flow meters include turbine flow meters, ultrasonic flow meters, etc. The temperature sensor and pressure sensor provide temperature and pressure data for the flow meter for accurate metering compensation to ensure the accuracy of the metering results.


5. Control system
The control system is the "brain" of the entire LNG gasification and metering skid. It is usually composed of a PLC (programmable logic controller), a touch screen, etc. Various operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, etc. are collected through sensors and displayed on the touch screen. Operators can monitor and operate the equipment through the touch screen. The control system can also automatically control the start and stop of the equipment and adjust the operating parameters according to the preset program to achieve automatic operation and improve the safety and reliability of the system.
