The pressure regulating skid is mainly composed of the following important parts:
1. Pressure regulator
The pressure regulator is the core component of the pressure regulating skid. It automatically adjusts the valve opening to control the gas flow, thereby adjusting the high-pressure gas to the required low-pressure output. The pressure regulator is usually composed of valve body, valve core, spring, diaphragm and other components. Different types of pressure regulators have different working principles. For example, the direct-acting pressure regulator adjusts the valve opening by balancing the force of the spring with the gas pressure; the indirect-acting pressure regulator uses the pilot to sense the downstream pressure change and then controls the valve action of the main pressure regulator. The performance of the pressure regulator directly affects the pressure regulation accuracy and stability of the pressure regulating skid.
2. Filter
The function of the filter is to filter impurities in the gas, such as dust, rust, particles, etc., to prevent these impurities from entering the pressure regulator and downstream equipment, causing equipment damage or blockage. The filter is generally composed of a housing, a filter element, etc. The material and filtration accuracy of the filter element are selected according to actual needs to ensure effective removal of impurities while minimizing resistance to gas flow.
3. Safety shut-off valve
The safety shut-off valve is an important safety device for the pressure regulating skid. When the system has abnormal conditions, such as too high or too low outlet pressure, pipeline leakage, etc., the safety shut-off valve will quickly cut off the gas source to protect the safety of downstream equipment and personnel. The safety shut-off valve is usually composed of a valve body, a valve core, a spring, a sensor, etc. The sensor monitors the pressure and other parameters of the system in real time. Once the parameters exceed the set range, the safety shut-off valve will be triggered.
4. Monitoring pressure regulator
As a backup pressure regulator, the monitoring pressure regulator is automatically put into operation when the main pressure regulator fails or is repaired to ensure a continuous and stable supply of gas. Its structure and working principle are similar to those of the main pressure regulator, but it usually has higher reliability and stability. The monitoring pressure regulator is installed in parallel with the main pressure regulator, and automatic switching is achieved by setting different pressure ranges.
5. Measuring instruments
The measuring instruments include pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, etc. The pressure gauge is used to measure the pressure at the inlet and outlet of the pressure regulating skid, the thermometer measures the temperature of the gas, and the flow meter measures the flow of the gas. These instruments provide operators with key parameters for system operation, which is convenient for real-time monitoring and adjustment of the system operation status.
6. Valves and pipes
Valves and pipes are used to connect various components and control the flow direction and flow of gas. Valves include ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, etc. Different types of valves play different roles in the system. The material and specifications of the pipes are selected according to the properties and pressure levels of the gas to ensure safe and reliable gas delivery.
